Reggie Cleveland held Atlanta scoreless on just 1 hit at Busch Stadium as the
St. Louis Cardinals beat the Atlanta Braves 2 to 0.

Cleveland(9-7) escaped virtually unscathed against the Atlanta hitters. He
allowed only 1 hit and 2 walks in 9 innings. St. Louis managed only 5 hits
on the night.

Ron Reed(6-12) suffered the loss. Luman Harris was obviously impressed with
the pitching of Cleveland, 'That guy made us look a little silly out there
tonight. We just couldn't get to him at all - everything was working for
him. I just hope that he got that kinda performance out of his system.'
